Sushi Samurai

I have eaten here for lunch and the menu is all you can eat ordering small plates 2-6 at a time. With tax/tip bill for one person is $25. I am not sure I eat enough food for this high a bill but the reason I think it’s worth it is the fresh quality of everything and the great variety. I like the seaweed salad, udon soup, seaweed wraps, tempura, dumplings, and red bean ice cream paired with chocolate ice cream. Definitely give this place a try! Allow extra time sometimes service is slow since everything made fresh when you order.

The place looks great from outside but it is all that is good about it. We should have walked out when we heard that this is all you can eat for set price. Some of the most expensive items were in the menu but they were of course out of it:) the proportions of fish to rice was out of this world considering that you can see through fish that is how thin it was. Don't waste your money and time on this place.

Staff are friendly but it does not mean they serve dishes on proper time. I waited for more than 40 min for a simple teriyaki. Dish was average. This restaurant is more focus on buffet à volonté, so they do not pay attention for the guest who ordered à la carte, obviously. Reluctantly I paid the tip, but won’t go here again. I had also bad experience with other Asian restaurant in old Quebec, I guess here in Quebec, the service are not quite good at all as a one of most touristic cities. Very disappointed and I think better to go hotel’s restaurant, even if it is costly, but I am certain I will be treated properly and safe for the quality of the dishes.

This restaurant is pretty nice. It has a ton of choices and you get to order as many things as you want.

Very spacious and clean. The waiters can be a little absent-minded and quiet but the proprietor was very gracious and kind.

Very good sushi! The variety is nice too, we ordered tons of their nigiris.It can be hard to get the waiting staff's attention.

Great food, not so great service.

Food was good, nice and generous portion. The waiter had a poor english and didn't know his menu. They ran out of Sprite this week... Overall still good and recommended.

They do sushi all you can eat, which can be fun, but like most all you can eat restaurant its not the best sushi in town.

Service takes a long time and you need to ask for each and every little thing you need. But food is real good !

It was delicious and they were so quick! We barely had to wait and the table was full! Will definitely come back soon!

probably the worst service i have ever dealt with. they kept bringing the wrong food to my table and the food wasn’t even good. they were cranky and rude. the menu was confusing and our table was in such an awkward place. they practically begged us to tip them and then completely scammed us into getting more money. all they care about is money. they legit told me off for not giving them a tip. so rude.

Very very horrible service. They’re very very slow. My family waited for exactly 2 hours (no exaggeration, no joke) just to get all what we ordered. They didn’t even give all our orders. The first hour we waited, we had nothing that came on the table. We told the waitress that we had to leave in 30 minutes. When we tried to talk to her, she would be doing another thing at the same time. It seems like she didn’t want to understand what we were saying. Don’t recommend it if you have other scheduled things to do for the rest of the day. I was unbelievably upset, because I paid for the parking spot for an hour and it wasn’t enough.

I want to know whats going on .... Ive called for the past two days to make a reservation and never once did someone pick up.Is the restaurant shut down or... ??Is there anyone who can let me know whats going on.I use to go often a few years back and never did i have this much trouble :(

Went there on Friday with my family, waited for more then 10 mins for seated, eventhough they were not busy and lots of seats were available. The tableware were not clean, there was some grease on them, asked for new ones. The sushi was bland no flavor at all, food from kitchen was too greasy and salty, the man next to us told us the chicken was not fresh, I could not even test that out, maybe they tried to put extra sauce to cover the rotten. There was a man jump off from sushi bar to kitchen and doing both job(making sushi and grilled from kitchen), still can not figure out what was his job. Waiters were slow, you need to hand out your order to the cashier not the waiters. If you need anything to drink, you may need to hand your order to the cashier 15 mins before. On the way to washroom is too steep, my kid was almost fell off. The only shame for our Quebec city trip and will never come back again.

I've been here for more than an hour and I can't even tell if they know I'm around. My friend has already received all of her pieces and I've got only 1 servings. They threw the plates on the table without telling what they served us. I could write this review and I still didn't eat more than mushrooms. Great.

Excellent service and fresh fish.

Fairly inexpensive all you can eat sushi. We were a large group and the kitchen was able to keep up with the amount of our orders. The quality was surprisingly good and fresh sashimi. Great place to bring your hungry teenager.

It's not good but it's unfortunately the best all you can eat sushi you can find in Quebec city. It's not cheap either, they clearly take advantage of their monopoly to raise prices. Quality is terrible and most ingredients come from the freezer, still frozen. The staff can be quite friendly but not good at their job at all. I always avoid the restrooms their, it's creepy and dirty. I wouldn't call it a good restaurant, but as it's the only place, we keep going...

I tried to this restraunt first day, and it was good. So tried to yesterday also. I went to 8:30 and he said I have enough time. I double checked about one hr for ordering(all you can eat) cause I'm a slow eater. But after 30 mins, they said it's a last call. And I have to finish whole meal for 1 hr. cuz they start finishing and cleaning stuff at 9 as well. Felt uncomfortable and pressure to finish fast. After that, I had to take a medicine. Only reason I gave them tips(lower than usual tho) is one of staff was very friendly.Supposed to go there every night in my trip, but won't go again.

Cool affordable place to have good sushis!

Mediocre food. Poor service. Super slow. We waited for over an hour for the food to be served. Do not go there. Especially if you don’t speak French. The servers only serve French speaking people.

The night we where there they were clearly understaff. Food was ok.

The avocado that was used wasn't ready to use, and many of the items on tje menu were either too dry or lacked flavour. 2 / 5.

Food was really bad. We chose all you can eat and It was really too oily to eat . One of the staff was too rude. No proper communication. Do not recommend this place.

This is a good little spot. Overall the sushi was great, the atmosphere was cool. The waiters were helpful although one of them had a run-on conversation with a group which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just wish that he would've looked up from time to time to see if anyone else needed something. Other than that I think it's a worth it if you want all you can eat that's not far from where everything is happening.

I have mixed feelings about the food and service. Visited on Monday evening There is only one hunk waiting tables and he was fast , helpful and polite. Notice tables were not cleaned and service might be slow since only one waiter. Ordered take away. Pork rice with egg and separate samurai roll.Thought the food were so delicious. Yet I got slight tummy turn within 3mins, but nothing serious. I've very sensitive tummy and the slightest not right will not go undetected.. Luckily it was minor this time.But I may not ever vist this restaurant again.

Horrible place. They say all you can eat for 21 dollars and charge us 31. The guy has a sly smile and says his English is not good! Service was extremely slow but good was good though. Make sure you make things clear before you dine here. Left a bad taste!!

All you can eat style. We went there on an august Sunday lunch … not quite busy. With family (all Asians Citizen origin). No complain at all on service or quality. Of course, if you compare with similar restaurants located in Ottawa, Toronto (god live in Toronto !!!) or Vancouver, the only concern is about the variety of fish available; not a quality problem at all. As per previously mentionned, we went there on a no rush time. For freshness purpose and since the food is prepared as and when, delay might definitely occur in rush time 'cause kitchen in small. Clean restaurant. Fast service. Very nice touristic location around; amazing !!! Don't forget «double decker bus tour».

Food was okay, average all you can eat. Very slow to get the food that we ordered. Definitely not a place to go if you are on a time frame.

The service was unbelievably slow. We spent 3 hours here and still left hungry. One dark haired man working behind the cash register was blatantly rude, but the rest of the staff were kind yet not good at their jobs. For the price, I won't be coming back.

Good sushi and noodle but pizza sushi not recommended.

We read the warnings about how slow they can be and chose to take our chances. It was busy, we didn't have reservations, and were seated right away, given clear instructions in English on how to order. I was contemplating the difficulty of taking so many orders from each table, unlike most restaurants, they are making 10-30 one-off orders per table. Just three servers on the floor, and the food came right out, and kept coming—Boom. Boom....And seriously good food! High quality and super tasty. How did they do it? Great dining experience. Highly recommended.

I wish I could comment about the food, but an hour and thirty minutes in and still no food. We just got up and left.And they didn't seem surprised about it.So yeah, don't go.

Service was very fast, but that is the only good point. Menu has errors in it, a waitress who does not speak french / english very well got in an argumwnt over some quantity error in my command, another waitress had to shut her up and fix the problem. Food is good but not great.

For a sushi buffet you won’t find better in Quebec City. Food is good and the staff are pleasant and helpful. The only downside is that the tables for two are quite small and very close to other couples. It’s a little awkward, but overall I recommend the restaurant!

incredibly good and affordable... a rare thing nowadays, so I really hope they stay in business and keep the quality for a long time! easily one of the best sushi houses in Quebec City... I definitely recommend it! :)

Pretty good selection, unfortunatly the staff sucks. They'll deliver your food/drinks to the wrong table, take forever with an order etc. It's honestly a 'skip' for me now. Used to be great.
